Travel Passport

Travel passport may be issued to a person having the status of a stateless person in Georgia as well we to a person holding humanitarian status for the purposes of leaving Georgian territory, movement abroad, and entering Georgian territory. For getting the travel passport a person having a status of stateless person in Georgia shall submit a residence permit instead of an ID card.

 

An interested person shall have the right to apply to the Justice House or any territorial office of the Public Service Development Agency for the purposes of getting a travel passport. 

 

For getting travel document a person of legal age shall submit:

  • Residence permit;
  • Two biometric color photos;
  • Receipt of the payment of the service fee for issuance of a passport;
  • In case of changing the travel passport – old passport.

 

For getting travel document a minor shall submit:

  • Birth certificate;
  • Residence permit;
  • Consent from both parents for getting the passport (the form of consent shall be filled in the branch of the Agency, Justice House, or the Notary Bureau);
  • Identity card of one of the parents (original);
  • Two biometric color photos.

 

A travel passport to the person having the status of a stateless person in Georgia shall be issued for 2 years period. In case there is less time left until the expiry of the residence permit travel passport shall be issued for the remaining time. To persons having a status of a stateless person in Georgia who had possessed a permanent residence permit until the entry into legal force of the Ordinance of the President on Approving the Procedures for Determining the Status of a Stateless Person (27 June 2012) travel passport shall be issued for 5 years.
